More Ebro Zander

Just returned from a trip out to Spain's mighty River Ebro on an exploratory Zander trip. The fishing out there is just superb, and as can be seen from the pictures, the sceneryis not too shabby either!
We had plenty of Zander around this size throughout the trip, but on this one the bigger girls were absent, well they avoided us, Jamie losing a very big fish on the last day!
I cannot recommend the fishing out there highly enough, and intend to return next year. In fact in conjunction with Catfish Capers we are running guided trips out to the Ebro this winter in search of the 15 kilo Zander (thats 30lbs+!!!!) thatthe river holds. The current record is a staggering 18.6 kilos, which is over 40lb!
Details nd bookings for the trips can be found on the Catfish capers website. www.catfishcapers.co.uk

Introduction
Hi,
and welcome to my new Blog spot.
On this blog I intend to detail details of Zander (and Pike) fishing in the fens. Living as I do near to Ely I am right in the heart of the Cambridgeshire fens and have fished this area since I was about 6 years of age.
In that time I have caught numerous Zander to a personal best of 15lb 0.5oz, from many different drains and rivers. I also run my own guiding service in the fens, concentrating on catching Zander and Pike, but I also cater for Perch and Carp fishing on request.
Details of my guiding business can be found on www.kestrelguides.co.uk
